In 2015 two entrepreneur friends saw the emergence of Third Wave Coffee and promptly tapped into the market with the simple motive to raise the coffee culture in the small but bustling town of Sibu, and to offer a truly unique venue for the urbanites to escape to, and to chill and get their coffee fix.

The ensuing project took two years of meticulous planning that included painstakingly sourcing for recycled and reclaimed timber consisting mainly of Belian wood (Borneo Ironwood) from dismantled bridges and wharfs, torn down old village houses as well as used industrial metal from friend’s workshop. This was followed by more than five months of slow and arduous renovation made up mainly of DIY craftsmanship on site.

The fruit of labour saw the birth of Outright Coffee – an embodiment of the action of boldly stepping OUT to do something you think is RIGHT!

Today, after years of growing and maturing (literally applies to the mixed vegetation forming a mini urban forest surrounding the café), Outright Coffee has become the choice of green hangout for discerning coffee lovers and nature lovers to seek refuge from the hustle and bustle of city life, work and studies pressure.
